Company Profile
In March of 2003, The Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania, a professional non-profit association, was notified that their long-time web provider was going out of business. The Association needed to quickly find a new host for their web site, as well as a programming team that could work with and enhance their existing custom web software systems.

Solutions & Benefits
The Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania chose Addison Technologies to take over hosting of aa-pa.org. At the time, the public web site included an upcoming events section, links section, and news alert page, all driven by a Microsoft Access database. The back-end of the site also included a basic email marketing system and member directory. After studying the existing code and infrastructure, we upgraded the database to Microsoft SQL Server (which greatly improved the stability and performance of the site) and made some minor improvements to the structure of the original code. Next we sat down with the Association's Manager and helped him write a wish list of new features and interface improvements, all of which were quickly implemented. Finally, we added a dynamic FAQ system, online newsletter system, and .PDF document loader into the site. The combined result of all these software systems is that the Ambulance Association's Manager has full control to update information on almost any area of the site, without requiring a single line of code or assistance from us.
